The first step for Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3 Masters Berlin is done both in Europe and North America, featuring a lot of chaos. The four teams that earned tickets for regional qualifiers become clear for each region.

Europe

The competition was at its highest point in Europe since there were multiple teams that were contenders for Challengers playoff spots. Such that Europe’s representatives in Masters Reykjavik, Fnatic, and Liquid, weren’t able to join the top four teams in Stage 3 Challengers 1. Acend, G2 Esports, Guild Esports, and FunPlus Phoenix ended the tournament with happy faces obtaining seats in EMEA Finals.

Acend

Acend came to the tournament with one recent roster change after not qualifying for the Masters Reykjavik, adding “Aleksander “zeek” Zygmunt to the roster while splitting ways with Jose Luis “koldamenta” Herrero. Sometimes roster moves don’t deliver what’s desired, but it doesn’t apply to zeek. Acend was the best team in the tournament with cNed’s insane performances alongside his teammates’ outstanding showings, and they were awarded the champion of Stage 3 Challengers 1.

G2 Esports

The last couple of months weren’t easy on G2 Esports. They haven’t been able to put in enough effort to qualify for later rounds of recent tournaments, but they managed to return into competition with the renewed roster, and m1xwell is in his new role. The new roster looked way better than the previous one and finally earned a spot in EMEA Finals.

North America

The open qualifier was tough in North America. A couple of powerhouses of the region fell short during it, including TSM, FaZe Clan, Cloud9 Blue, Immortals and T1. Version1, on the other hand, was out of breath in the main event of the tournament being defeated by 100 Thieves and Pioneers. There is one thing that didn’t change: Sentinels won the lottery at the end. XSET, 100 Thieves and Envy are the other teams who clinched spots in the regional finals.

Sentinels

Patch 3.0 being released a week before the Challengers 1 affected Sentinels as every other tier one team. They faced a loss during upper-bracket semifinals against XSET and dropped to the lower bracket, but Sentinels is one of those teams that just doesn’t lose twice, making it all the way through to the grand final. Despite losing the first map, Sentinels found the rhythm and won the grand final.

XSET

XSET is the biggest winner of Challengers 1. Despite performing decently for a couple of months, the squad couldn’t find any success in regional finals and had one more chance to turn things around. After picking up dephh as the in-game leader and zekken from Noble, XSET is in a better shape and has a serious chance to qualify for the Masters Berlin.
Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3 Challengers 2 will start at the end of July and rest of the teams that will participate in regional finals will be determined there.
