VALORANT Agent Guide: Brimstone

Everyone, please say hi to our commander Brimstone! He doesn’t like talking much, so I will be the one to tell you about him. With his characteristic ability, the po-faced agent can find a place in every team composition effortlessly, right in the middle of all tactics. After the buffs Omen received, Brimstone mostly lost his popularity. But that doesn’t mean that he isn’t still viable: having three smokes that can be used at the same time in a round puts Brimstone over Omen in some situations.

So, what are the abilities of this old man who provides enormous field control for his team? Let’s dive in.

  • Stim Beacon (C) (100 Credits)

Brimstone throws a mark on the ground which gives fire rate for a limited time to whoever enters the zone except the enemy.

How Should You Use It?

  1. If you hear adversaries run towards you while defending the site, put a Stim Beacon right below you and surprise them with your increased fire rate.
  2. Brimstone can also use Stim Beacon over a long distance. Throwing the ability to cover teammates might rescue them from tough conditions.
  • Incendiary (Q) (300 Credits)

Brimstone fills his gun with a bomb and fires it to create a burning area. This area affects everyone, including Brimstone himself.

How Should You Use It?

  1. Brimstone’s Incendiary is usually used for field-controlling. Using it on a corner makes rivals move away from the spot. This way, you can make enemies vulnerable before an easy kill.
  2. Incendiary is essentially a molotov, which is a tool seen often in other FPS games. The difference is, instead of using it directly on opponents, it’s key to use it in order to block a corridor or gap.
  3. It must be used carefully, since there is a possibility to harm your allies as well. A flub could cause you and your team to lose a lot of health and rethink your strategy.
  4. Agents can’t resist all of the damage that comes from Incendiary. Using your molotov on the planted spike will prevent enemies from defusing it.
  • Sky Smoke (E) (100 Credits)

Brimstone opens the launchpad on his arm, selects spots a maximum of three times in a single round, and sends smokes to the places he chooses.

How Should You Use It?

  1. Smoke bombs are among the most critical elements in FPS games, and Brimstone carries this function superbly. Sky Smoke is unmatched in limiting the enemies’ sight and creating a free space to make plays.
  2. Be careful not to accidentally block your angle. You don’t want to help your opponents.
  3. Make sure that you don’t use your smokes too early. Because the ability won’t recharge in-round, it’s crucial to set the right time to activate Sky Smokes.
  4. An opponent who came out from the smokes can catch you off-guard. Even though there is fog, it’s still better to be careful.
  • Orbital Strike (Ultimate)

Brimstone equips a tactical map and selects an area. When he activates the map, orbital strike lasers, which deal tons of damage over time, are launched in the area. They impact everyone in the game.

How Should You Use It?

  1. Orbital Strike impacts a large area. Therefore, I suggest that if you see a couple of your opponents in the same field, use the ultimate without hesitation.
  2. Controlling spots while attacking is a must in VALORANT. Believe me, there is no ability like Orbital Strike to provide you that control.
  3. Planting the spike or defusing the spike is a deadly mission if enemies catch you unaware. To fight back, you can use Orbital Strike when you hear the sound of them.
  4. As I said, Orbital Strike also harms allies. Assuming that you don’t want to be reported, beware of using it inattentively.

When it comes to playing with smoke, most players prefer Omen. However, Brimstone is an agent who deserves a chance. Don’t upset the old man, and show him some respect, and trust me: he’ll treat you right. Have fun!
