As the Gentry of Hermitage event banner for character Zhongli nears its end, Mihoyo shared new details about its newest, upcoming playable character, Eula the Spindrift Knight, a five-star claymore wielder who possesses a Cryo vision.

Eula, alongside four-star Pyro character Yanfei, were both officially confirmed to be arriving to the Genshin Impact roster on April 16, 2021 during a livestream discussing the game’s 1.5 update. She is expected to be featured on the next upcoming character event wish banner once Zhongli’s event banner concludes on May 18.

Eula Lawrence is the captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. She is a Cryo character that uses claymores in battle, and her constellation is Aphros Delos. Eula hails from one of the founding clans of Monstadt, the aristocratic and infamous Lawrence Family. Due to the oppression her ancestors’ inflicted upon Monstadt a thousand years ago, the citizens today view Eula with antipathy and are distrustful towards her.

This is further fueled by Eula’s claims of seeking vengeance in pursuing her current path. However, it seems that Eula’s actions of joining the Knights of Favonius say otherwise and have silenced any remnants of the Lawrence Clan’s vengeance. In spite of her words, she only has Monstadt and its peoples’ best interests at heart.

While further details and footage of Eula’s gameplay have yet to be revealed, she is confirmed to be a burst damage dealer. Through charging the Lightfall Sword from her Elemental Burst, her Physical Damage capability receives a boost when the Lightfall Sword explodes.

Eula will be voiced by Suzie Yeung in English and Rina Sato in Japanese. More details regarding her character and event banner are expected to be revealed at a later time.
