Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Officially Dropping on Switch, Other Next Gen Consoles in 2021

In case you missed it, there was a mysterious social media conversation involving Nintendo, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, and strangely enough, Crash Bandicoot. The banter left fans suspicious of Mr. Hawk as the witty repartee felt like a veiled tease of something big to come.

Well, Nintendo let the news rip.

Activision made the official announcement that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 would be racing to the Nintendo Switch in 2021, in addition to the PlayStation 5/Xbox Series S|X upgrades coming out on March 26.

Vicarious Visions — recently restructured to be part of Blizzard — developed the original Playstation4/Xbox One release in 2020 and will return to open the iconic games to a wider audience.

Players will have access to all of the levels from the original two games on Nintendo 64. Accompanying the original levels, players have the opportunity to take a trip back in time and enjoy the shredding with returning skaters while jamming to original music. To enhance the experience, a new progression system was added along with new challenges, a skatepark creator, and last but not least, online play.

Here we go, my fellow skaters. The time has come.
