Game 1 – Hardpoint

The New York Subliners looked like a real contender for the series but that changed quickly. After reaching 200 points, OpTic Chicago ended the game and started the series with a solid win, 250-180. Dashy and FormaL played like real monsters as they got 36 and 33 kills, respectively. To be honest, NYSL’s leader Clayster underperformed and this team will need more from him going forward.

Game 2 – Search and Destroy

OpTic Chicago was the undisputed leader of the second game. Dashy stepped up once again by grabbing 10 kills and OpTic won the map 6-1. Asim could only contribute with one kill to his team. In other words, NYSL played like a 3-man roster. OpTic’s dominant gameplay decided the winner in the second game as it proceeded to match point.

Game 3 – Control

The New York Subliners could only steal one round in the last map and faced a 3-1 loss. OpTic Gaming’s coaches must’ve fed Dashy with something magical as he had one of his best performances of his young career. In the last map, he got 35 kills and 5,030 total points which was the biggest factor in OpTic’s sweep.

Dashy had a great performance and carried his team to the next round. Nothing is over for the New York representative. NYSL will face the winner of the Toronto Ultra-Minnesota ROKKR match. NYSL still has a chance to win the tournament, but its path will now be a little harder.
