LEC 2021 Spring Playoffs Are Set to Begin

The LEC 2021 Spring season came to an end after eight weeks of regular season matches, and now it’s time for the playoffs where teams will try to receive the rewards of their efforts during the normal season. Let’s look at the windstorm deeply to see what awaits us before it starts.

LEC 2021 Spring Playoffs will host the six best teams from the regular season. G2 Esports, Rogue, MAD Lions, Schalke 04, Fnatic and SK Gaming will compete with each other to wear the crown at the end of the road.

Starting with the Fnatic-SK Gaming series, the playoffs will be played between March 26 and April 11 and will contain a double-elimination style bracket. The first-place team will earn a spot in MSI 2021 alongside the prize money from the €200,000 prize pool.

Like all esports and sports events, LEC 2021 Spring Playoffs has its favorite participants as well. The regular season’s top two teams, Rogue and G2 Esports, have higher chances to grab the title with the performances they have shown so far. However, we witnessed both squads struggling from time to time, and other playoff participants have the ability to punish their mistakes this time.

Schalke 04 is coming to the playoffs in its best form. Winning four games in a row, the Germany-based team managed to get over the organizational crisis at least it looks like and secured its spot against G2 Esports.

MAD Lions is one of the teams that I expect surprises from. I truly believe that they have enough power to beat Rogue and advance to the semifinals. The MAD Lions own everything in their hands to steal the series, but if they can’t avoid making mistakes, Rogue can end the matchup easily.

LEC 2021 Spring Playoffs will start on March 26, and every match will be streamed both on LEC’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
