Digital art is an artistic work or process that uses digital technology as part of the creative or presentation process. It’s a method of creativity that lends itself to a multimedia format because it can be viewed in many ways, including on TV, the internet, and multiple social media platforms. In short, digital art is a revolutionary fusion of art and technology.

16-year-old 3D game splash artist Carter Horvath, otherwise known as “polaq,” is a shining example of a modern wave of artistic talent. The young creative uses industry-leading software such as Blender and Unreal Engine to create high quality digitized renders primarily based around Fortnite. Polaq’s initial interest in renders started as a means to create his own thumbnails for his content. However, his true calling was digital art, and he’d eventually thrive in the creation of 3D splash art. His passion and undeniable talent in his craft are glaring, and polaq has accumulated asizable following of supporters who all marvel over his work.

Also, polaq is the pioneer behind his original character Kit Bucket, the most ravishing feline in gaming (based on Fortnite’s outfit character Kit.)

I’ve always had the passion to create and use my resources to make something meaningful to me. I started by simply making little designs on my phone using PicsArt and a handful of other apps. Three years later, I’m now creating unofficial splash art for games. Art has always been something very pleasing to me, and gives me lots of clarity while creating.

Something about creating something great from scratch by using the little or large amount of resources you have or by using the skillsets you’ve acquired is very rewarding at heart, and always gives me the strength to keep creating! This is definitely a hobby turned into a full-time passion project of mine and I’m very thankful for where I am and very excited for my future. – polaq
