With the coming of summer, Dota’s subscription service, Dota Plus, has received its seasonal update.

This update brings back the beloved high-five interaction and guild banners. A new Dota Plus exclusive treasure has also been added alongside refreshed guild quests and rewards.

As of this update, high-fives and guild banners will not be restricted to Dota Plus subscribers. Everyone can high-five to good and bad plays, and everyone can use guild banners to show off their logos.

The AniMajor And The International

WePlay AniMajor, the last Major for the Dota Pro Circuit Season 2, starts on June 2, 2021, and will conclude on June 13, 2021. Being held in Kyiv, Ukraine, the AniMajor will determine the final 12 teams that will be heading to Stockholm, Sweden to play in The International 10.

As of writing, only four teams, Team Secret, Virtus.pro, Evil Geniuses and Invictus Gaming, are qualified to appear at TI 10. The tournament’s prize pool stands at a hefty $40,018,195 USD courtesy of Dota fans contributing to it via the 2020 BattlePass.

The remaining six teams heading to The International will be determined by regional qualifiers. Each region will have one team qualifying for TI 10. Valve has spaced out the regional qualifiers this year to help teams accommodate their respective countries’ quarantine processes.

The dates for the Regional Qualifiers are as follows:

CIS and SA: June 23 – June 26, 2021

NA and SEA: June 30 – July 3, 2021

CN and EU: July 7 – July 10, 2021

Valve will announce more information regarding the regional qualifiers and TI once the WePlay AniMajor concludes. The International 10’s main event will take place from August 10 – 15, 2021, at the Avicii Arena (formerly Ericsson Globe and Stockholm Globe Arena).
