Call of Duty League Reveals New Rules Set

Before entering the Call of Duty League 2021 season, Activision announced that teams will participate with four players, instead of five like last season. CDL 2021 still has a little more time and before the start date, Activision announced minor changes on the map pool, challengers cups and the weapon arsenal.

According to CDL’s latest rules set update, the biggest change has been made on weapons. Before this rules set, professional Call of Duty players made an agreement which covered tactical rifles inside the game. Tactical Rifles are classified as “overpowered” and Call of Duty League agreed on this matter, banning them from competitive play.

Banned Tactical Rifles

  • Type 63
  • M16
  • AUG
  • DMR 14

The second change is about the map pool. The classic map Raid is back in the rotation and will be available for all modes. The map will replace Crossroads in the Search and Destroy pool, Cartel in Hardpoint and Moscow in Control. This update will take us to old times for the upcoming season.

Challengers Cups’ format will differ from last year. According to the announcement, these tournaments will be played under BO3 format until the last 64 teams.

All these changes will be live with the start of the 2021 season. All the rosters are set, so teams and fans are waiting for Activision for an official announcement. We will be informing you with the latest updates.
