autimatic Leaves CS:GO, Joins T1’s Valorant Roster

North America’s CS:GO scene has lost another major player to Valorant. Timothy “autimatic” Ta joined T1’s Valorant roster as the organization announced. The statement was made with a short video clip featuring autimatic and the team’s head coach, David Denis.

“I’m hyped to be playing for T1 VALORANT for the next chapter of my career,” autimatic said in the clip. “We’re gonna game with David and Skadoodle along with the rest of the talented roster, we’re gonna bring another championship back to North America.”

After the addition, T1 now has a six-man roster since it hasn’t announced any departures from the team. However, members of the team, Braxton “brax” Pierce and Keven “AZK” Lariviére aren’t registered for Valorant Champions Tour Stage 1: Challengers 2 under the T1 roster. Instead, the organization added autimatic and dd8 to the starting squad.

Ta’s CS:GO career started in 2014, but his peak was between 2016 and 2018 when he was playing with Skadoodle in Cloud9. In 2018, the duo managed to win a major championship, which everyone calls a miracle since they were only one loss away from getting eliminated.

The North American player has played for Gen.G’s CS:GO team lastly. Starting in 2019, his Gen.G period has one notable triumph, winning DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 by beating FURIA in the grand final.

T1 will play with its renewed roster in VCT Stage 1: Challengers 2 on Feb. 10. The roster is:

  • Braxton “brax” Pierce
  • Keven “AZK” Lariviére
  • Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham
  • Sam “DaZeD” Marine
  • Ha “Spyder” Jung-woo
  • Timothy “autimatic” Ta
  • David Denis (Coach)
