ASUS ROG Masters APAC Starts March 2021

ASUS is organizing its ROG Masters tournament in the Asia-Pacific region. Given the COVID-19 situation, the tournament is entirely online a first-of-its-kind for the APAC region with Counter Strike: Global Offensive as its official game. The event features a prize pool of $32,600 USD and runs for an entire month starting March 25, 2021.

With participation from 15 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, there will be roughly 500 CS:GO teams participating in the tournament. Due to the sheer number of teams, the event will only be live streamed starting with the quarterfinals. Professional teams from each country will be automatically seeded into their respective country finals. The tournament will be held in three stages:

  • Bo1 knockout national/country qualifiers
  • Bo3 knockout national/country finals. Sixteen teams each from the 15 APAC countries
  • Bo3 knockout regional/APAC finals vying for the winner’s title

Country level winners will receive $800 as prize money while runners-up will receive $400, along with ASUS ROG goodies. The Asia-Pacific podium finishers will receive $10,000 for first place, $3,500 for second place and $1500 for third place.

Registrations for the tournament will open on Feb. 8, 2021, continuing until the last day of February, and can be made on the official ASUS ROG Masters website.
